Via the M20

After leaving the M20 at Junction 8 (Lenham A20), follow the brown and white tourist signs. At the third roundabout Leeds Castle is sign-posted right via the B2163. Turn right at this roundabout and follow the signs to Leeds Castle. A few hundred yards on the left is the Main Gate.

If you are using a satellite navigation system, then please follow the brown and white tourist signs once you read the A20 as your navigation system may incorrectly direct you to a private entrance where you will be redirected, we recommend using the postcode ME17 1RG.

Parking

There is a designated car park for the wedding that you will be directed to which is closer to the castle and will be kept open later than the main one. Enter through the Main Gate and process through the grounds until you reach a barrier outside of the Ticket Office. There will be a steward on the barrier who will direct you through to the car park to be used for the wedding.

Please be aware that guests not staying on site will not be able to leave cars overnight.

By Train

Closest station

The closest station to both the castle and the Mercure hotel is Hollingbourne. This is served by Southeastern services. For some journeys it is quicker to get a direct/fast train to Ashford International and then take a local stopping service back to Hollingbourne.

There is no bus or taxi service from Hollingbourne but you can walk to the Main Gate in around 20-25 minutes.

Without walking

As above except take the train to Bearsted instead which is one stop closer to London on the same line. A shuttle bus runs once an hour from this station for £5 per person. More info here. It is also possible to get a taxi from this station however you’ll want to book as there is no taxi rank and wait times can be long when calling at the time.

From the Hotel

You are welcome to either taxi or walk over to the castle, there is then a scenic 15-20 minute walk through the grounds up to the castle itself from the main entrance.
